Profile: Juli
Since 2013 I'm officially a writer, means that this is my main job but it's not just about writing books (mainly for teenager and kids). I'm also teaching creative writing and doing a lot of readings in schools (in Germany it's part of the educational system to invite writers to introduce kids to their books ;-)) Trained am I as a "Neuro Linguist" and as such I worked as speech therapist with adults after strokes and other neurological insults. In addition to this I'm also a trained mezzo soprano and that's why I'm now also working as a speech trainer – especially I train people how to speak well in front of people, how to perform good at stage. That's a great combination and good balance.
My big passion is meditation and spiritual inquiry. Like with my books and also when I work with people I need always to look beneath the obvious and that's what makes me feel alive and vibrant. Deep connections. Either with myself by exploring the darkness within, the vastness outside, the paradoxes of life ... or with others by having heart open and honest exchanges about "Gott und die Welt" (God and the world) ...That’s a German expression and for me it symbolizes the two ends: the one and the thousand things.
Since 2020 Wes and I are married and we both live in two countries – in Honesdale in a farmhouse and in Munich. By the way, we met on a meditation app, the insight timer. ;-)
